Local Authorities do not need to invest huge amounts in new IT infrastructure to make information technology work for them. By making better use of the resources you already have Encentre can help you to:
- provide a faster response
- reduce officer time
- ensure consistency
- become more efficient
- deliver succinct information
- target risk groups
We are able to audit your department to identify how you may create efficiencies through information technology. Our one-day service audit is followed up with a comprehensive report detailing your strengths and recommendations for further improvement. The cost for this consultancy service is just £950 but could save you tens of thousands.
App and mobile technology
We recently designed and produced the Noise Nuisance mobile application which is now being used by a number of local authorities in the UK and is available to authorities across the world. The Noise Nuisance App provides key information to complainants, convenient logging of noise events and enables officers to prioritise cases. Now we have also started to develop other solutions that will help transform intervention based strategies.
One of the new mobile resources we have developed enables food hygiene inspections, records and reports to be completed and delivered on-site without the need for paper or an office. We have deliberately developed the applications to deliver Code of Practice compliant records and reports with the emphasis on reduction of time spent on administrative tasks and paperwork. Using your own tablets you will be able to carry out interventions and monitor performance and improvement. There are also opportunities available to integrate mobile solutions with existing IT systems. See our news article for more information.
We are able to provide an exciting range of low-cost multi-media products. Our videos, for example, can be used as a response to service requests, provide information on a specific topic or to educate. Our resources can be delivered via your own website, social media sites and via DVD. Let us know which issue you wish to target and we will script, record, design and even personalise the video to your own corporate standard.
Electronic and social media resources are a useful way of delivering information and key messages. Video resources, podcasts and pictures can be linked to emails and electronic communication (e.g. enforcement letters or inspection reports).
Managing an environmental health team is an important role so maintaining and updating your website is often one of the jobs that receives the lowest priority. We are able to provide you with te content you need to ensure that the information provided through your website is brought up to date. We can also keep it up to date and will even liaise with your IT department so that you don't have to!
